Been in each stand, took 30 years. I've taken my boy to 4 games in the last year, made a point of going in each stand. Was pleasantly surprised by the STB upper, nice and compact and the closest of all the upper stands to the pitch.

Trevor upper against Liverpool, 1st time ever, half decent view
In younger days favoured mostly the south bank but also did north and occasionally the sticky bun. Went into the chicken as a kid several times towards the end of games when they just let us in when we had gone up there and not gone in
I will miss her but life and times go on sirs. The south bank for 3 quid as a nipper is still the best place I've ever entered in my life and always will be so

Every stand, old and 'new', all the tiers, terraces, wooden and plastic seats, so I count myself v lucky. First ever view was from the chicken run 1976.
Suppose it made sense for away supporters to eventually be housed in the old north bank. As a kid, you'd look at the old north bank and it looked massive. Away fans stuck in that corner in the south bank, floodlights on the stand roofs..great memories.
Biggest change was obviously the pitch being so far away from the stands. Great idea whoever designed the souless new stands.
Time to say goodbye.

Yes pre 90's before they built the mdf towers, accept the seats. From orange box behind the wall down the front of the WS, to NB then SB with occasional game in the CR, finally ended up where started in the WS. SB was the most fun. Remember it before the fence was put up with just a line of bobbies segregating rival fans resulting in bobbies hats being passed around, and from memory Forest, Newcastle and Man Utd 75 all ending up on the pitch.

True, couldn't see over it without an orange box, there were normally a fair few lying around. Chin would reach the wall would have to get up on tiptoes. Would get in NB queue early under 11s or similar although was 12, 15p in 73 at about 11am and wait for turnstiles to open. Always got some Percy Daltons and saw the band, great days never to be repeated.
